Traditions vary in the different locations, however the festivals are usually activities that often include diables (devils), correfocs (fire runs), castellers (human towers), folk dancing and other festivities. The Festa Major de Gràcia, which first appeared in 1817, is held in the city of Barcelona every August for a week and represents the folkloristic heritage of Catalonia.
